Two Brazilian information technology companies will join forces to explore opportunities in projects oriented to the Internet of Things. Nap IT, which specializes in enterprise network and IT solution integration consulting, and Codi.Mobi, a software solutions developer, announced a merger.
“Based on strategic objectives, companies will unite competencies to provide infrastructure solutions and develop applications, targeting consolidation in the IoT segment”, the companies said in a statement.
The merger considers investment of at least two years in the new integrated products development, in addition to equity interest exchanges.
Separately, in 2014, Nap IT should grow 40% compared to the previous year, and Codi.mobi should reach 60% growth. Together, the expectation for 2015 is to move R $ 20 million.
Company names will still remain independent at least until next year, but the standardizing brand identity process, which adopts the Nap IT standard, has already begun.
In addition, about 30 professionals will join the group and will work in the consolidated office in Porto Alegre (RS), where the Nap IT headquarters is.
Also for 2015, the participation increase of the office in São Paulo and a branch opening in Rio de Janeiro is foreseen.
